Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Arthur, on February 23, 2016 in his 94th year. Sadly missed by his wife of 64 years Elizabeth (nee McArthur). Loving father of Peter and his wife Linda and Nancy Tonkin and her husband Gary, all of Rockwood. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Earl Hindley, April Hindley, Janice Groenheide (Rob), Katie Dhanju (Naveen) and Matthew Tonkin (Jenna) and his great grandchildren Avery and Marissa Groenheide. Also survived by his neice Anne Lenarduzzi (Frank) and his nephew John Thompson (Diane). Predeceased by his parents Earl Hindley and Kate Hindley (Freure), sister Helen Thompson and brother-in-law Harold Thompson. Bruce lived on the family farm in Eramosa for 88 years before moving to Highland Manor in Fergus and spent the last 8 months at Caressant Care in Arthur. Bruce was a lifetime member of Mimosa United Church. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 from 7-9pm. Funeral Service to be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, February 29th, 2016 at 11:00am, with visitation from 10:00am.
