Obituary for Bruce Leslie Alexander Crewson

Bruce Leslie Alexander Crewson
January 30, 1938 - January 3, 2018.

With heavy hearts we said goodbye to Bruce Leslie Alexander Crewson. Caleb and Happy were by his side when Pa met Jesus in the early morning hours of January 3, 2018. His dash was rich. He loved and was loved. He leaves behind his loving wife; Gerry of 57 years. His three lovelies; Tracey, Cynthia and Jodi. He loved his girls so much! He was the beloved Papa of; Spencer and Andrew Cudney, Caleb Crewson, Isaac and Ireland Heyden. His grandchildren brought him immense joy. He was the eldest brother of Pete (Carole), Morley (Leone), Janis, Koreen and Stuart (Nadine). Sister and brother in laws; Jack Harrett (Joy) Audrey Reid (Grant) and Betty Martin (Floyd). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Brandon and Helen Crewson and nephew Brandon Crewson. Bill Hammond was his best friend. Uncle Bill, Pa will be waiting for you on the other side.

Bruce grew up in Milton and moved to Elora after marrying Gerry. Bruce was fortunate to work everyday at a job he loved. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. His grandson Caleb has since followed in his footsteps. He was loved so much by his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was a great conversationalist and had quite a sense of humor. He knew he was loved and cherished. Pa you were so darned cute. We’re not sure how we will fill the void you've left in our hearts but everyday that passes brings us one day closer to seeing you again. As per Bruce's wishes he's been cremated, ironically in Milton. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at The Elora Legion downstairs, 110 Metcalfe St, Elora from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. Donations in Bruce’s memory can be made to Groves Memorial Community Hospital. Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home was entrusted to the care of our husband, father and grandfather. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
