Obituary for Blaine Douglas Shaw
Blaine Douglas Shaw, 69, of Fergus, Ontario, succumbed to cancer, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Caressant Care in Harriston.Blaine is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rose Shaw along with four children; Kimberly (Sean), Brian, Michael (Stephanie) and Julia Shaw; one grandchild, Jana Shaw (Jarrett); and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives. Blaine was preceded in death by his parents Irene Prior and Robert Shaw and his older brother Randy Shaw.
Blaine worked for Bell Canada for over 30 years and had many endeavours along the way including owning a pig farm, operating rental properties and opening his very own Radio Shack. Having built his first house all by himself in 1977, Blaine was always there to help family and friends with household projects, big and small. Blaine loved to read the newspaper, sharing his knowledge and views about the world with his children, often stirring a lively debate – something he revelled in. He also enjoyed listening to music, (anything but Shania Twain), and travelling with his wife. Blaine had a vast sense of humour and was often the life of the party, offering up jokes to everyone around.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 8th, 2019 from 11:00 to 1:00pm followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm and reception upstairs at Graham A.
