The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bette Ostic can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Ostic, Bette nee Ford (1930-2017) Peacefully following a brief illness at Wellington Terrace, her home for the past two and one half years, on Monday August 21st. Bette was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Wilbert Ford and Flora Ford (Smith). Married for 67 wonderful years to Ivan. Cherished Mom to Jeff (Debbie) of Fergus and Jamie (Cheryl) of Shelburne. Beloved Nana to Bron, Brittany (Steve), Lauren (Alec), Courtney, and Christopher (Hannah). Predeceased by sisters Margaret Cameron, Essie Uttley, and Helen Low, and by brothers Mervyn and Kenneth Ford. Bette will also be remembered by several nieces and nephews.

All are invited to a memorial reception to be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home 280 St. David St. S., in Fergus from 3:00- 5:30 pm on Friday, August 25th, 2017. Tribute to be held at 4:00pm. A family graveside service will be held earlier in the day at Belsyde Cemetery.

We would like to thank the staff at Wellington Terrace for their incredible love, compassion and care which they provided to Mom during her entire residency there, as well as to her physician Dr. John Stickney.
