Our condolences to Bertha's family,
Let us introduce ourselves. We are Brian & Cindy Bailey and we lived on Kinsey Place right beside Bertha & Woody. They both played a big part in our lives, at birthday parties, dinners and gatherings. Bertha was generous in passing on some of her favourite clothes to me. I still cherish a suede skirt from her - a classic, that never goes out of style. ;) They were always very interested in our two children and welcomed them to ride their bikes on their paved driveway and drop by for Halloween treats! We loved looking at the pictures you posted. That is how we remember Bertha, stylish, fun loving, the ultimate hostess, full of vigour, and cherished by Woody. We hope you have many fond memories of Bertha too and wish to express our condolences to you. In loving memory of Bertha..... from the Baileys..

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done. By Helen Lowrie Marshall
We love and miss you.

I enjoyed visiting Great Uncle Woody and Great Aunt Bertha at their home in Collingwood for several ski weekends, both with my family growing up and also with my husband Oleg after we got married. They were always gracious hosts and had such a beautiful property right at the foot of Blue Mountain! How very neat it was to have relatives who lived right there. What great memories :)

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Bertha. Bertha's husband,Woody Cress, worked for my husband, Jack Banks at Kralinator Filters until his retirement. I spent many a convention, customer dinner and customer get-to-gethers while Woody worked with Jack. We always enjoyed the times we had. I was pleased to see she lived to the years that she did as I know that losing Woody would have been hard on Bertha. R.I.P. Bertha. Frania Banks

Like many, we were saddened to hear of Berths’s passing, especially her friends, siblings and their families. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Roger and Vonnie were dear friends to Bertha and Jim and later in life, Roger and I enjoyed Woody and Berths’s company. Rest In Peace.
