Life long resident of Fergus, Operated his family business (McFadzean Fuels) and Veteran of WW II. Following a brief illness at the Royal Terrace in Palmerston on Monday May 18th 2009 with his family by his side. Barrie McFadzean of Fergus in his 86th year beloved husband and friend of Janet Deacon for 60 years. Loving father of Bill of Palmerston, Mary Fox and husband Jim of Minden, Bob and his wife Chris of Kelowna B.C. and John and his wife Dianne of Seaforth. Dearest grandfather of Claire, Kelsi, Amber, Phil, Dave, Heather, Jen, Jeff, and Laura. Also loved and remembered by his daughter in law Helen. Dear brother of Mayda Dobbie, and Enid and husband Lewis Sargent. Remembered by special friend Virginia Mann and her late husband Don. Pre-deceased by sister Marj Claxton and brother Paul. The family will receive their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. FERGUS from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at the Melville United Church corner of Tower and St. Andrew St Fergus on Thursday May 21, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Private interment service will be held at the Belsyde Cemetery on Friday.
