Passed away peacefully at home with his caring family at his side on March 19, 2021 in his 82nd year. Arthur was the beloved husband to Peggy (McDonald) and Daryl (Bricker-1996 ). Loving father of Valerie Wappler and Jim Wappler (Barb). Proud Papa of Michael Price ( Kara ), Kyle Wappler ( Brittany ), Cara Wappler ( Chris Comiskey) and great grand children Axel, Jude, Leo and Norah. Predeceased by his parents, Karl ( 2002) and Hedwig (1963) Wappler, Berta Wappler (2017) and his brother Alfred (1969). Dear brother of Betty ( Bill ) Thompson, Ken Wappler ( Patrice ) and sister in law of Sandy ( Al ) Tadman. Arthur is survived by his mother in law Margaret McDonald and extended families. Art worked 42 years for CN Weber and enjoyed many years at the Elmira Lawn Bowling Club as President, Greens Keeper, Tournament Draw Master and a bowler.
At Art’s request, there will be no funeral and cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Brewster, the Palliative Care Team, the PSW’s and the end-of-life care team (MAID) for their wonderful support and guidance. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Graham Giddy Funeral Home 617 King Street N, Waterloo. Donations to the K-W Humane Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
