Obituary for Arthur Bursell Barton

Passed away peacefully at the Royal Terrace in Palmerston on September 23, 2007, in his 92nd year. Arthur loving husband of 68 years to Peg, loving Dad of John and his wife Sharon, Wallie, and Ralph Birtch. Will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Terry, Michael, Steven, Kathy, Stephanie, Greg, and Gillian, and his great grandchildren Katie, Erikka, Colin, Taylor, Conner, Roman, Mya and Finn. Survived by sister Hazel. Predeceased by daughter Wendy (1991), and sisters Alice and Phyllis.Arthur was a “Bobby” with the British Police Force from 1935-1948, Captain with the British Army serving in the Far East from 1942-1946, Member of the Irvine Masonic Lodge #203 since 1951, past DDGM., Insurance Broker in Elora for 37 years, Member of the Order of the Eastern Star- Brighton Chapter for 50 years. Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church in Elora, corner of Henderson and John St. on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 11a.m. Canon Robert Hulse officiating.
