Obituary for Arthur James Austin

Arthur James Austin
It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur (Art) Austin announces his sudden passing at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on March 22, 2014 at the age of 74 years from the complications of a stroke. Art will be missed by the love of his life Linda Ann Austin (Robins), wife for 46 years. Proud and supportive father to Brian James Austin (California), and Michael Arthur Austin (Ottawa) and his wife Lisa Marie Wilson. Dear grandfather to Madison and Brianna and good friend to Linda’s father Frederick Hardy Robins. Brother of Patricia Marfei and Louise Braine. Pre-deceased by his father Jimmy Edward Austin, mother Arlene Austin (Passmore) and his Stepmother Ruth Austin (Knox). Growing up, Arthur enjoyed involvement in Scouting especially the jamborees in Canada and abroad. From a young age, Arthur worked in the automotive and trucking parts business. His quiet, gentle manner will be missed by many friends and relatives. His retirement years included traveling, woodworking and woodcarving. The family will receive their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 280 St. David St. S. Fergus. From 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday March 27, 2014. Funeral service will be held at the ST. JAMES ANGLICAN CHURCH, 171 Queen Street E. Fergus on Friday March 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Canon Pauline Head officiating at the service. Following the service the urn will be intered at the Belsyde Cemetery , Fergus. Because of the care that Arthur received recently and his devotion to the church, remembrances to Hospice Wellington, Guelph and St James Anglican Church, Fergus would be appreciated by the family. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
