Archdeacon Stephen A. Witcher
It is with a tremendous sense of loss that the family announces the very sudden passing of Archdeacon Stephen A. Witcher, at his home on October 27, 2008 in his 61st year. Recently appointed Archdeacon in the Diocese of Niagara. Immensely missed by his best friend and wife of 42 years Carol Barbara (Ball). Lovingly remembered by his son Len and his wife Trish (Cunningham) and his daughter Katherine and her fiancé Sean Worrall. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Melanie and Lucas Witcher and his nephew Jack Witcher. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Burnice and his brother Jack. Vigil to be held at St. James Anglican Church in Fergus on Wednesday night beginning at 7:30pm. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Thursday, October 30th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil to be held at St. James Anglican Church, 171 Queen St. West in Fergus, throughout the day on Friday. Legion Service to be conducted at 6:45pm at St. James Anglican Church, Fergus. Sacrament of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, November 1st at 10:00am, at St. James Anglican Church, Fergus. Interment to take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Jordan, Ontario.
