Peacefully on March 16, 2015 at Groves Memorial Hospital in her 102nd year. Predeceased by her husband John A. Martin (1985). Will be dearly missed by her daughters Shirley Quick and Rilla (John) Wheatley. Special Grandma to Christopher (Rhonda), Alan (Carolyn), Peter (Kristiana), Janine (Ryan), Scott, and Heather (Brian). Great grandmother to Shae Lynn, Tanner, Samantha, Ian, Emma, Matthew, Ariana, Liam, Annie, Emily, Evan, Julia, Brooke and Brianne. Anne will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews and other family members. A long time primary school teacher, first in the country schools of Mount Forest and later in the schools of Wallaceburg, and Kent County. Music was a very important part of her life and she was playing for others as recently as last week. A proud Rotarian, she received the Paul Harris award for dedicated service. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held for Anne at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St South, Fergus on Friday, March 27th, 2015 at 11:00 am followed by a time of reception being held in the Wellington Room on the second floor of the funeral home.
