Obituary for Anne Fordham

It is with broken hearts we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of our beloved Anne.
Born in England and moved to Canada in 1965. Anne led her family with much love, true grit and great strength of character. After 25 years she retired from the family service station business in Orangeville, Fordham Petroleum. Her retirement included 89 acres, a riding school - Hockley Hills School of Horsemanship and 38 horses which she loved. Most days she could be found in the barn caring for her horses and spending time with the people who came to ride. She loved the farm, nature and all things with four legs.
We don’t know how we will continue without her.
Beloved wife and best friend to Donald, for 62 years. Loving Mother of Diane (the late Rick) and Gail (Steve). She is the cherished grandmother of Melissa (Evan) and proud great grandmother of Madison and Wynter. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Jennette in England, sister-in-law Rita (Tony) in England, Marion (John) in California, Jean (the late Mick) in Caledon and brother-in-law John (the late Barbara) in England. She will be sadly missed by family friend Mark, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. As per Anne’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
