Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on September 21st, 2010 in his 92nd year. Life companion of Nora Stone. Loving husband to the late Shirley Ann McCaffrey (1990). Father of Susan (Gary) Penn, Donald (Audrey), Robert (Ewa) and Steven (Patricia). Grandfather to Michael (D), Cynthia (Dale), Julie, Jeanine, Ricci (Leo), Bret (Lynsey), Lindsay (Gavin), Madeline, and Jeffery. Great grandfather of Delia Eden Penn, Stephen, James, Jesse and Jacob. Beloved brother of Noreen Smale. Predeceased by brother Ken. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and other family members. Albert spent 35 years at Diversey Corporation, retiring as Executive Vice President. Albert had many interests and passions, including a love of curling, he served 2 years as President of the Oakville Curling Club. His hobbies also included golf, fishing trips with his family, traveling and he at one time owned a stable full of horses. Albert loved and was an avid supporter of the Leafs and Blue Jays. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Saturday, September 25th, 2010 from 1 – 2 pm . A funeral service for Albert will take place following the visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
