Aira Anneli Rajantie (Purhonen)
Aira passed away in her 91st year at the Guelph General Hospital on February 16, 2018. She was predeceased by Vilho Rajantie, her husband of 66 years. Aira was the dearly loved mother of Helena Edwards (David), Riitta Prest (Richard) and Vilho/Bill Rajantie (Jane), grandmother of Tanya (Paul), Robert, Melanie (Roberto), Adam (Stephanie), Natasha (Ian), Ben and Claire, and great-grandmother of nine. She also leaves behind extended family and friends in her beloved Finland. Aira will be missed by her many friends at Heritage River in Elora, the warm and caring community where she lived for the past four years.
As per Aira’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
