Wayne was a proud veteran on the Royal Canadian Navy and member of the Royal Canadian Legion. I had the honour of carrying flags with him during the opening ceremonies of the Fergus Highland Games and most recently, attending the Elora Remembrance Day Observance and Dinner on 11 Nov 2014. I will miss his friendly jabs about the Army and his warm welcoming handshake. "Fair winds and following seas" my friend. You will be missed.

After the accident on 23 October our paths never crossed again and we had only met again all these years later during the Kootenay reunions where we certainly had many items in common to talk about.
