Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Watson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Donald Arthur "Don"  Watson
It is with great sadness the family of Donald Arthur Watson announces his passing on Friday, December 8, 2017. Don was the loving husband of Sadie(Mulvey) for over 64 years. He is survived by his daughter Lynn and her husband Bob Cameron. Don was the very proud grandpa of Brad(Vanessa), Scott(Meagan) and Kevin(Amanda) and over the top proud great-grandpa of Adelaide, Austin and Carolyn Sadie. Don is also survived by his brother Murray and sister Joyce Snow, sisters-in-law Linda Sinclair, Ann Goodall(Jack), Shirley Mulvey, Anne Mulvey and brother-in-law Bob Mulvey(Carol) and many nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his infant son Gary Robert(1964), his parents Art and Laura Watson, in-laws Gordon and Edith Mulvey and brothers-in-law Jack Mulvey, Jim Mulvey and David Sinclair.
Don was a hardworking and dedicated employee for the town of Fergus for 42 years, ending his career as “Works Superintendent”. He was a longtime member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and a member of Mercer Masonic Lodge in Fergus and the Rameses Shrine Club in Guelph. Visitation for Don will be held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus, on Tuesday December 12th from 4-7pm and on Wednesday December 13th from 1-2pm followed by the funeral service at 2pm. There will be a reception to follow in The Wellington Room on the second floor of the funeral home. Private family burial at a later date.
