McGRATH, Mary Yvonne Stacey, McGrath, Evans, (nee Thomson)
Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in her 91st year.
Beloved wife of the late Ted Stacey of Streetsville, Harvey McGrath late of Fergus and Garfield Evans late of Nipigon.
Loving mother of Catherine Pouw (John), Duncan Stacey (Ann), Shirley Tait (Ken), Nancy Reichheld (David) and Elizabeth (BJ) Stacey.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will remember her love and cherish her memory forever.
Dearly loved daughter of the late Beatrice and Robert Thomson of Orillia, Alliston, Toronto and Streetsville.
Dearly missed by sisters Ethel Dodds (Bill) and Carol Marr (Ian), brother Robert Thomson (Heather); predeceased by sister Dorothy Williamson (Gordon) and brother Duncan Thomson (Kay). She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended families.
Born in Orillia, Yvonne graduated from Toronto General Hospital School for Nurses and upon retirement from her nursing career she was able to realize her passion and opened Country Quilts in Salem. Yvonne always contributed to her community and volunteered actively to help others, especially children and the less fortunate.
Her family expresses their heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support of cherished friends and relatives.
Cremation will be followed by a private interment at Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus.
