Sam was a welcome sight on the field of the Fergus Scottish Festival, marching in so many Santa Parades and Canada Day celebrations in both Fergus and Elora.
My first chance to truly work shoulder to shoulder with Sam was putting up the stone wall for the Friday night Tattoo-what a feat! I have called it the "Harrop's Wall" ever since.
Sam was such a delight- gentle and warm in personality and spirit. Showing patience and guiet strength in all he undertook.His volunteer efforts and passion for life and community will be sorely missed.
