Cynthia Alice   Rose  (Burford)
July 10, 1915 – February 6, 2016

Peacefully on February 6th in her one hundred and first year, at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ontario, with her family at her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband, William Rose, and his seven brothers and sister. Also predeceased by her brother George and his wife, Catherine, her brother Richard and his wife, Marilyn, and her brother-in-law James Reid. Survived by her sister, Mary Reid, and brother Gilbert (Mary Lou). Devoted mother of Mary Alice and Cynthia (Donald McCallum). Adored grandmother of Susan (Meredith Johnson), David, and Meredith, and cherished great- grandmother of Isla and William Johnson. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Valued school secretary for the Windsor Board of Education. Longtime member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church choir in Windsor, where William was organist and choir director for forty- two years. Hard-working member of the Windsor Women’s Symphony Society. Special thanks to the caring and dedicated staff at the Wellington Terrace, where Cynthia lived for seven and a half years. Memorial service at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Friday, February 19th at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the Breadalbane Inn, 487 St. Andrew’s Street West in Fergus.
