Peacefully at his home in Fergus, on November 8, 2014, with his family by his side at the age of 70 years. Ron will always remembered by his loving wife of 47 years Marie. Cherished father of Rick (Tricia), Ron (Nicole) and Kelly (Derek). Special grandfather to Danielle, Samantha, Eric, Evan, Ashley, Brady and Avery. Will be missed by his brother John (Donna) and sister Marion (Larry), as well as his brothers-in-law John (Kathy), Carol (Charlotte), Peter (Patti) and Steven (Diane) and sisters-in-law Lee (Bruce), Shirley (David) and Norma (Stan). Ron will also be missed by his father-in-law Mervyn Smith, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and close friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Thelma Chilton and his mother-in-law Teresa Smith. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ron’s life will take place at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex, 550 Belsyde Avenue, Fergus from 2:30-7:30pm on Saturday November 22nd. Memorial donations to Groves Memorial Hospital or Hospital for Sick Kids would be appreciated by the family.
