Obituary for Beatrice Cameron

Beatrice   Cameron
Passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace on September 12th, 2014 with her family by her side. Bea Cameron of Elora, in her 97th year. Loving mother of Ken and Pat of Pike Lake, Bob and Lynn of Elora, and daughter in law, Mary of Elora. Much loved Grandma to Greg (Paula) of Kamloops B.C., Michael (Daisy) of London England, Michelle of Regina Sask., Adam and Jeremy Settle of Mississauga, Brad (Vanessa) of Guelph, Scott (Meagan) of Rockwood and Kevin (Amanda) of Fergus. Great-grandmother to Alyssa, Olivia, Adelaide, and Austin. Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Gordon, in November 2008, and her beloved son, Ron, in February 2012. Also pre-deceased by her parents Norman and Pearl Willard and brothers and sisters, Reid, Verna, Jack and the twins, Miriam and Marg. Bea was born and raised in Eyebrow, Saskatchewan and fiercely proud of her Western Canadian roots! She came to Elora in her early twenties, worked at Beatty Bros. in Fergus during the war years and met and married Gord in June 1947. In addition to raising her family, Bea worked alongside Gord as janitor of the Elora Public and High Schools. She also worked at Walser’s Furniture Factory. Bea was a lifelong member of the Rocky Glen Rebekah Lodge and the Elora Lawn Bowling Club. She volunteered at the tuck shop at Wellington Terrace. Special thanks to Dr. Alan Simpson and Dr. John Stickney and the caring and compassionate staff of Wellington Terrace. The family will receive friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 37 Church St., Elora from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday, September 15th, 2014 . A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Remembrances to the Groves Hospital Foundation New Building Fund or the Wellington Terrace Recreation Programs would be appreciated. www.grahamgiddyfh.com 519 846 5352
