Peacefully on April 17, 2014 at the Wellington Terrace in her 101st yr. Predeceased by her husband Howard (2001). Fondly remembered by her sister Lynn Aitken and her sister-in-law Jean Dick. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Elizabeth (Bill) Kurt, her great grandchildren Jim (Kim), Steve (Helena) and Clifford (Summer) as well as her great great grandchildren Jaiden, Colby, William, Jacob, Caleb and Cole. Helen is predeceased by her son Joe Nixon (1998) and daughter-in-law Shirley Nixon (2002), her sister Barb Wilson (2014) and her brother Jack Dick (1986). Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St South, Fergus on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 12:00-1:00pm. A Memorial service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. A private interment at Belsyde Cemetery will take place at a later date.
